BACKGROUND
Nyra was born on the well populated planet of Coruscant , mere minutes before her twin brother Hyperion . Growing up within the slums of the big city , were both she and her brother were soon abandoned by their parents -- left to survive the industrialized planet on their own , using means less than orthodox to survive , yet they managed in the best way they could . To make ends meet , Nyra became a rather exotic 'dancer' to make the extra credit for them both to have food at the table within their small run-down complex . Yet no matter the notion , did she remain ever so pure in her shimmering innocence . As time flew by did the unthinkable come to fruition -- her brother to fall terribly ill in a terminal sense . Desperate for a solution , scraping up every earning she had to her name did she volunteered both herself and her brother to partake in the Imperial Experiment Operation " Metamorphosis " as catalysts for treatments which promised to cure any ailments , yet not ( guaranteed ) . Against all odds , Nyra didn't need such treatments in being healthy , yet for her brother's sake did she subject herself to such -- not wanting him to be alone in such a brutal , trying process . After the trials conducted by Dr. Pershing did the cure for her brother's deathly illness become non-existent , falling to utter joy . But as always , there be a price to pay for such gifts . Put through rigorous training did she discover the extent of what the experiments did to alter her very genetic code -- the Force suddenly a presence to be felt and to be used at her own measure , yet with many twists in which make her a more stealth-like operative for the Empire . Contracted to do their bidding , a slave to their violent needs -- her first individual assignment driving her to the brink of nearly drawing away the humanity which she clung to in desperation . After her mortifying experience , she run to her brother -- pleading that he leave with her from this place . Wanting just to have a normal ( free ) life of knowing peace in their lives for a change . Yet , Hyperion felt the obligation to remain with the Empire -- convinced that they be his purpose and family now for granting him air back to lungs nearly to death . Conflicted with leaving her only family member and staying to lose herself entirely -- she chose remaining empathetic and humane , forced to leave her brother behind in which breaks her heart to this day . For now ? She roams the Galaxy on her free will , praying to the heavens and stars for her brother to come back home where he belongs -- and to know what it's like to know love in this unforgiving Galaxy . Mantra focused on protecting the innocent , her optimism never to be misplaced in the hopes that she would use these curses as a blessing to those who needed it the most -- ( against ) the Empire .
